The last witch of Scotland

Had my blood test , yes I did have an appointment this morning , taken from my hand as the lovely nurse could not any from my arm.
Afterwards we went to Beauly to the Old School House for a book reading and signing by Philip Paris. A very interesting talk about Janet Horne the last Witch to be tried and executed in the British Isles. She was executed in Dornoch and a stone marks the spot. We found it when we were in Dornoch last and it has become abit of a shrine with people leaving painted stones and flowers in her memory.
We wandered round Beauly Priory afterwards . A fine ruin , most of the stone taken by Oliver Cromwell to build his forts.
Enjoyed watching the snooker , amazing how quickly the lead can change .
