Travel Chaos

Up nice and early to catch the 5:23am train back home.

No shops were open so I couldn't get anything to eat for breakfast.

Departure time soon went and it was another half an hour before we left Paddington, as the driver had got stuck on another train.  Very frustrating again, but as got past Swindon they then announced that a few stops had been cancelled and we were back on time at Bristol Parkway.  And then when we got to Newport, they then announced that all the people in the back end of the train had to move to the front end of the train, as there were no staff to man it.  Which meant another delay of about 10-20 minutes, thankfully after that there were no more dramas.

Thankfully I had a quiet day planned anyway.

Had one final catch up with our young apprentice who was leaving us today.  My young padawan did his exit interview, so we had a catch up after to review it.  Such a shame to see him leave but I know he will be a success in his future career.

Feeling a bit sad tonight, it's been a week of many highs but also sad to say goodbye.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  Finally making it home
2.  One final catch up with our young apprentice
