Crumbling Adobe Wall
I think this is an intriguing wall. You can see the adobe bricks it was originally made of and how much it has fallen into disrepair. Walls and houses were all built of adobe bricks around this area at one time - usually the bricks were made by hand of mud and straw. It was very hard work so people who helped make them as children have told me. These days they use machines to produce them.
It is an expensive method of building and not used so often. Though all the buildings around here look as though they could be built of adobe bricks, they aren't due to cost - today it is timber structure, plastered with stucco colored in one of the 120 or so shades of brown that are allowed here.
