At home
...until Mrs Rex's phone rang. Evan needed a lift up to Milton of Balgonie so, off we went. At least the sun shone on the way back home long engough to stop and take a photo of Balgonie Castle. It looks like the Laird is in.
The only time Mrs Rex was in there while wearing a posh frock was December 1999 (extra) when she was creating Hogmanay floristry to feature in Interflora's in-house magazine using the castle's interior as a backdrop. She has been there many times since in her working gear doing flowers for weddings. It's all very Scottish despite the Laird, Raymond Morris of Balgonie and Eddergoll, being born in Walsall. He bought the place in 1985. That's him in the extra photo with his son Stuart and Mrs Rex. Raymond died in 2022 at the grand old age of 92.
