Sun dial it’s not!

But a “sign post” giving distances to various places/canals etc. It adjoins Wellington Monument and was donated and erected (?) by the Automobile Association for the National Trust.

We had a chat with a couple of volunteers regarding climbing up the monument and I think it’s something I’d like to do - stunning views and hopefully worth climbing the 300 odd steps to the top!
