Changes at Access Point 11.

We usually come onto the beach at this point. The new fence on the right is at the end of a re-routed path through the dunes. The old path was particularly well worn. The Ranger Service grounds maintenance team have said they won’t infill the old path; it’s good for the dune ecology if there are some bare areas for a while. And it’ll grass over in a year or two in any case.

It was unseasonably cold on the beach, 7°C felt less. Quiet at low tide.

Watched Scarlets v Glasgow semi final European Challenge Cup. 17-35. Phew. Too much excitement! Glasgow won, final late May. Their opponent will be decided tomorrow.
