A walk along the Severn from Arley

Second day of trip and we packed a lot in! A trip to another Arboretum this time in Arley and then a long walk along from Arley along the Severn, around Trimpley Reservoir back through Eymore Woods.

We have visited this area before and really enjoy the Countryside to walk in, especially along the Severn when you can hear the whistles and chugging of the steam trains echoing through the valley. This picture is of Victoria Bridge and is some 200 ft across and was the longest in the world when it was built in 1861. It was purely by chance that we happened to be on this part of the walk when we heard the train approaching, I know nothing about Steam Trains but I love the noise, smell and atmosphere they produce and the SVR does that more than most :)
