St Mary the Virgin, Weston Turville
We rang here for a very large wedding today, loads of folk, big hats, tops hats and morning suits!
I have rung at this Church many times, they are a ground floor, 14 cwt ring of six bells. Our ringers sometimes attend practices here if we do not have enough to practice at our Church and as with all the Churches locally we help each other out with Wedding ringing. Due to dwindling numbers we rarely get to ring our six bells at Gt Kimble so today was a treat and also a test for my memory to recall methods rung on 6 and we had some good, well struck ringing, I hope the wedding party appreciated it!
The Church is mainly 13th and 14th century, with 15th century tower and roofs. It has a flint exterior and is another very plain but bright and inviting Church.
