Bois de Boulogne

We saw our friends off around mid-day at Porte Maillot, where they caught a shuttle to the airport. From there, J suggested that we walk back home through the Bois de Boulogne. The park was lovely with the chestnut trees blooming and lots of people out in rowboats on the lake. We got a good deal on fresh basil at Monop, and I'm going to make a big batch of pesto in our hand-grinder for dinner. The apartment seems very quiet this evening - we had really nice visits with our friends this past week!
