Inspired by Cumbria Fairtrade Network

I rekindled my interest in Fairtrade by joining Cumbria Fairtrade Network for their AGM today. A well informed member of the group gave a presentation outlining the difficulties coffee growers are having coping with the effects of climate change and how Fairtrade are supporting the efforts to overcome the problems.
As this pop up poster shows, the Network also acknowledges the struggles faced by our local farmers by encouraging people to buy local products where possible.
It’s good to be reminded of the importance of making choices when I shop.
