Birthday blast!

The twins who stayed overnight slept well so no sleepless night for us and were good about getting up, breakfast, dressed etc.

We set off early to go to help set up the hall for our other grandsons fourth birthday party. It had a bit of a space theme so these were the balloons I took and they had a space banner and some planets and stars. Plus tablecloth, plates etc.  Not sure the children noticed but I guess all the parents did! 
15 children, a bouncy castle, various ride on cars and big building blocks plus a colouring table  kept them occupied for about an hour. Then lunch, then a lengthy pass the parcel and lastly the Birthday cake. 

All the children seemed to enjoy themselves and many of the parents  knew each other so could chat happily and they were given refreshments too ( some of the parties my children have taken their children to do not give any drinks or snacks to the parents!..my son even took his coffee machine) 

We went back to their house afterwards and our grandson was delighted with his new bike which we gave him…it’s actually secondhand but to him it’s new and it looks new. His birthday is not until Thursday but presents from us today…he had so many from the party if he opens two a day it will keep him going for a week.

We had a very good journey on the M3 so home before six and can now have a restful evening.
