Goldener Laufkäfer

This one crossed my path on my way through the woods on my evening walkabout. A little iridescent jewel striding along. When I tried to block his way to stop him walking so fast he stopped and froze completely still. Maybe he thought I wouldn’t notice him. Quite hard not to notice as he was glowing and quite big!
If I had been a worm, insect or snail I would have been terrified, they are quite aggressive predators that spit before they kill!
