Anne's Daily Encounters

Practising in Utrecht

Today was our initial day of performing as a tourist guide during our crashcourse training and I enjoyed that to the full.
We'd split up the duties for the day amongst us trainees and thus we all played the role of tourleader for 45 minutes ~ during my prime time various happenings were unforeseen like closure of my route because the ME had barred the passage as some quattters protested there, so I took them on plan B and in the church a volunteer guide on spot happily filled in lots of info I was suppposed to give to the group, but his contribution was such a gift I could not but grand him time and space to share some of his information with us; it was pleasing to receive as feedback that 'my flexibility and non stress appearance' was appreciated.
The many other 45 minutes I was one of the tourists (we'd invited friends / relatives to be our tourist guests too, so we were a group of 30) and I had my camera at hand all the time.
This capture of our group behind the Utrecht Dom Church I do like a lot as the street if void of cars and paved with stones like in old day ~ a 17th century street:)
