St Abbs Head

Today we travelled to St Abbs Head in Scotland to see Susan's niece and the rest of her family. Her niece has recently been appointed as a Ranger at the St Abbs Head National Trust site and has just moved into the Ranger's Cottage.

There was another motive for going up to St Abbs Head as her nephew and his wife were also visiting with their new baby daughter whom we were going to see for the first time. To make it a real family affair her sister and husband were also there as was her niece's boyfriend. So we had an afternoon centred around the baby and an excellent lunch.

The weather was cool and misty, although the threatened sun did not make an appearance which made the views from St Abbs Head rather limited.

So I've spared you the baby pictures and given you this offering of the small harbour at St Abbs which we visited on the way back to the Hall.

There was an urgent need to get back on time as a roast dinner was being cooked for us and we had to be there for 6.30pm, which we made in good time.
