Life through the lens...

I have now seen the heron a couple of times at the pond but today was the first time I had my camera handy.
We have seen some small fish in there and so obviously has the heron.
It didn’t seem to mind people walking by, and even a dog on a lead.
A lady we got talking was as pleased to see it as we were.
The two geese were also there but no sign of any nest.
6 mallards swimming about, but no young ones.
However the moorhens now have 3 young ones, and mum and dad were kept busy.

The village green was trimmed up for the Coronation with decorated trees and bunting.
A Celebration Fun Day is being held at the cricket club on 7th May.
Fingers crossed for a fine day.

We had seen some sunshine today and it is certainly warmer. All washing dried, and certainly enjoyed our walk although very muddy in places.
Now watching an enthralling match at the Crucible. Fantastic play. Nice to see the crowds sat outside in the sunshine enjoying the match on a big screen.

Happy May Day everyone.
