Bonne fête!

In France on the first of May there is a tradition of giving sprigs of Lilly of the Valley or muguet to ladies to wish them happiness throughout the year! The tradition goes back to 1560 when King Charles IX of France was given some as a lucky charm.  He was so pleased he decided to give some every first of May to all the ladies of his court!
