What you get

Sometimes what you get is not what you have been looking for.
I was looking for the kestrel and found a magpie.

The magpies have had some kind of trouble with the blackbirds all day. In the same tree the kestrel family lives. I found the kestrel nest, but can't look in it, it's too far away and too high up in the tree. But I can see (and hear) when it's feedingtime and I can see the adults come and go and some movement. Better than nothing. But today the magpie won the blip-of-the-day competition.

And a happy Mayday to all. It was nice to have an additional day to my already extended weekend.
