Krista, Kalyn and I

What a beautiful day for time with family! Renata took this photo of us in front of the Empress Hotel (not where we were staying). The flowers were spectacular.
We met at the location where the bibs for the Times Colonist 10K were being given out and had a huge group hug. So lovely to see my three girls! I had checked at the hotel where we were staying about parking spaces for my car and Renata's and had been told that it was likely that we could have 2 spaces. Turned out we couldn't. I parked my car there, and luckily Renata was able to get overnight parking at the library parking lot just across the street. The hotel was in the perfect location for walking everywhere. After a delicious lunch at Milestones, We went for a water taxi ride and got off at Fisherman's Wharf. Renata hadn't been there since she was a little girl, and K&K had never been there. It was fun having a good look around the area and at the float homes, so different and interesting. One was selling for $800,000, and the monthly moorage cost is $1000. The trip back to the Inner Harbour was great, with two stops on the way to let others out. I'd never been in the water taxi, amazing because we lived in Victoria for years.
We made plans to meet cousins Doug (blipper DoogieVanIsle) and Amy for supper and had fun catching up. We were all pretty tired and knew we had to get up early for the 8am start of the walk so went back to the hotel for an early night.
