Waiting Patiently

I took Tom for his Urology appointment today. An increased prostate function blood test (PSA) and MRI have suggested there is a very likely chance that he has prostate cancer. The doctor is sending him for a bone scan and a biopsy. These will take 2-4 weeks to complete before we go back to Urology.

Tom is pragmatic about his pending diagnosis, and the doctor has reassured us that treatments now are excellent, giving him a good prognosis.
