Back again

I did take a bit of a break but had to come back with news I got last week.

I am still in the rehabilitation clinic; last week (on my 47th birthday) I was sent to Rennes for a neurosurgery consult and I was told by the professor who saw me that he might operate on my spine - with a distinct possibility that I might walk again! He said it matter-of-factly and I was glad I was in a wheelchair because I might have keeled over - it was so unexpected!

My doctor here is going to send him all my MRIs since before my first surgery so that he has a broad picture of what has been going on these past few years. I hope he confirms the surgery, and that it comes sooner rather than later!
