Marvellous metamorphosis!

There has been a small chrysalis hanging on the door inside our conservatory since before winter. We have just left it in the hope that it might “hatch out” and today was the day.
I thought it best to put it outside so that it can get some energy from the sun. I think it’s some kind of white butterfly, either large or small.
However, it hasn’t moved from this flower, so I have made it a “bed” for the night inside and hopefully he can be released tomorrow.
