It's a Bank Holiday - And It's Sunny!

It's Britain. It's a Bank Holiday weekend Sunday. So, shouldn't it be cold and rainy?

No! this image has not been retouched - this was today in Abington Park, Northampton. Look! Sun! Shadows! People throwing themselves recklessly down on the grass! Picnics! Ball games outdoors!

There was also a band playing in that bandstand in the background (Spinney Music Jazz & Concert Band, Northampton) comprising mostly young people of school age. They were great and performed most professionally.

There were long queues winding out of the park cafe and the ice-cream vans had to call for back-up!

This day will go down in history - and those that enjoyed a sunny Bank Holiday Sunday will be able to say, 'I was there.'
