Across the fields

Our last walk before the family returned was over the fields in front of the house and down to the river. We reached the old mill lade directly opposite the ruins of Kilmadock Church and Graveyard, this prevented us accessing the river bank. We watched a couple of anglers, walked through a fox settlement, holes the wrong shape for badgers and a string of dug out earth rather than a triangular shape, and gazed at an osprey surveying everything at the top of the highest tree.
