At Hawthornden Castle

This is at the top of Roslin Glen, on the south side. Previously I had seen the castle from the other side of the glen and I have in fact blipped it once. Today I was visiting JC who works in the walled garden on a Tuesday with two others, growing food for the kitchen; the castle is now run as a writers' retreat. It was a lovely woodland setting and I can see myself inviting myself back later in the spring - many of the trees were still to come into leaf.
