Four star

We headed off down to Morecambe to the Reel Cinema to take advantage of the ‘Movie Madness’ offer that LadyV had switched us onto.

£3.49 a ticket is not to be sneezed at, particularly given the leg room we had! It was just a shame that the film was The Super Mario Bros Movie, but the children seemed to enjoy it, which is the main thing and our combined star rating gave it four out of five.

Despite the plethora of snacks that the offspring (including The Eldest) had destroyed and let’s be honest, me too, we went back to LadyV’s for a delicious lunch, which she had lovingly prepared - see extra. Following that, I think we were all a bit tired after a busy weekend socialising, so after a brief stint of enjoying a brew in the sunshine, we bade them a farewell and headed back to Kendal.

It was also sunny here too with the sun even reaching the bathtub full of acres! So we did a couple of jobs, but being in need of a walk and ignoring the groans from the wee ones, we set off for a walk/scoot before it was time for them to be dropped off back at their respective mothers.

A lovely end to the long weekend and a great start to May.
