Alfalfa and White Mustard Seeds

Another back blip.
I bought these little seeds last week, together with the wee trays. On the left is alfalfa and on the right is ‘white mustard’ (literal translation from the Spanish). The alfalfa’s definitely sprouting. The white mustard is a wee bit behind. The alfalfa seeds had to be soaked for 4 hours, before putting them on the ‘grid’ with the water underneath, but the mustard seeds didn’t. I’ve since read on the internet (so it must be right, yes?) that alfalfa seeds need to be rinsed and you have to be careful with bacteria etc. I didn’t do any of that as it didn’t say so in the instructions on the packet. Now I’m not sure whether to use them! Any ideas, blippers? It’s been fun to see them sprout anyway, but the idea was to have them for salads, sandwiches etc!

Got the guest bedroom cleaned and ready for a friend visiting next week. Next week will be a busy one, so trying to get ahead. If no other cleaning gets done except the essentials, then it’s not the end of the world. It’ll get done though, some every day, she says confidently ;-)
