Into the Mist

Torbay in Devon has, I have been told, it's own microclimate.
After living here for about 6 months I can confirm without doubt this is true.

Living about 5 mins. walk from the beach we did not see any snow when the rest of country was covered. That is until we drove up the main road which is a very steep incline and there it was, loads of it.

The day I took this photograph Preston Sands was completely covered in thick fog all day long, but walking to Torquay about 2 miles away I discovered the rest of country had nothing but bright sun. Very weird.
