Seeing red

A sociable day. Some time ago, two old friends - who have been a couple for many years - decided to get married. A small group of us got together today for a rather overdue post-wedding celebration with them. We all brought food for a celebration lunch, and sat out in the sun in the garden. We'd made various Italian-inspired dishes; it all felt like being on holiday somewhere in Southern Europe.
And apart from that, we voted.... and hoped that these local election results will deliver enormous red gains for Labour, and equally enormous blue losses. Fingers crossed.
