OUR FIRST PLANTING

At last we have started to plant our first flower bed.

It takes a long time to remove the turf, dig over the clay and cover the whole area with well rotted manure.  I just hope this beautiful Clematis grows. Today we found a cheaper plant nursery so bought some Surfinias for the front boxes.

More money spent as I had to buy some Ericaceous compost ready to plant the Rhododendrons and Hyacinth down the bottom when the fence is erected, eventually.

 I don't think it will be very good for the King's Coronation, but I'm sure his supporters won't mind.
