Sunset over Exmoor

Today we sampled the new cafe at County Gate - betwixt Devon and Somerset - a lovely family running it and who are making it very welcoming for everyone. 

We walked into Culbone from the top road and sat for a while in the valley to absorb the peace . It remains one of the most important places in my life as it has had such an effect on me . It really is a special place . 
In the evening we took our dear friend Jeff out ( he used to live in Culbone ) and then we went for a ride with him onto the moor around Dunkery to spot the deer as it was getting dark . There weren’t as many as usual- I think they were in the shelter of the valleys . The moor is so atmospheric at night!
