Patrolling Coppice Pond

The female was not in evidence when I went to feed the inhabitants of the pond after walking with the ladies (plus one man).  During the week there is very limited access to the pond due to the tree felling work going on around the estate (Extra), just enough to throw some food out.  I walked back along the main path and spent some time watching and listening to a wren, lovely.
Spent an hour on a tombola stall at the garden centre before lunch, they were having a talk in the afternoon by a TV gardener and supporting the local hospice with the stall and sales of his book.  I didn’t recognise him!
