Having a scratch

This afternoon a young hare was exploring our grass (#nomowmay). It bumped into a piece of wire netting held in place by 6 bits of bamboo, which I had put there to stop the pheasant re-excavating a hole that he had previously dug and we have filled and reseeded. The hare was fascinated, particularly by the bamboo and tried each stick for its scratching potential.  Eventually he chose the longest stick as the perfect height to scratch his chin.
