Beauty Spot

It is past midnight, so I'll try to keep this short!

The work day passed happily enough, with an afternoon meeting online going well. I panicked when I realised it was on Zoom and not Teams. Thankfully, there was enough time to download and install the app and find a background.

It was great to have a visit from Diane in the morning. It felt like she'd been gone for ages! We had a good catch-up and talked about her evening do later tonight. She's going to the Coronation Ball on the QE2 with her husband. I hope she shares a picture of her outfit!

G & I raced to M&S in Dubai Mall to get a Coronation mug and bear, but they are sold out. No luck online either. Argh! We did a quick shop at Waitrose for celebratory food and then met with a new friend, Manisha, at the Sol Sky Bar. It was her first time, and she loved the view and the vibe. The DJ was good too. We chatted effortlessly for two hours. It was sad the evening had to end - as all good things do. We got home before 10 - without battling bumper-to-bumper Friday night traffic in Karama. It's been a great day!
