Ready...

…………………….....…..to Fly



Her wings have filled with fluid and dried ready to fly. I placed her outside on a flower in a pot of marigolds, sheltered and safe from the continuously falling rain. At days end she had decided it was safer to stay dry so I brought the pot inside overnight. This morning she remains clinging to the flower - it will provide sustenance ready for her eventual flight. Once again she is outside, giving her freedom to choose her time of departure.

As I write this, a day late, the rain continues. At the moment it is gentle, quite different to many of the heavy falls overnight.
