Concrete

The masons have been good but they don't really do sustainable. Everything is new, everything is built in grey steel reinforced concrete, with square edges. There is nothing wrong with the steps, we do need them, but it's all a bit brutal. They have put some top soil where the cut away the bank this week, and as you can see it's not exactly level with the steps...

This is a back blip and a fortnight later, we're still waiting for them to finish the work. Now we're in the final stages of the work, everything has started to go very slow - even the masons who were normally reliable are dragging on...
