Fun in the sun

A lovely day in the sunshine at Knebworth with good friends.

These two had an excellent time, even as they sent their mother grey with their desire to climb, run and jump on things... I needed at least two more of me to keep an eye on them properly! I have come to the sorry conclusion that I'm not very good at being a relaxed parent in such settings. Clearly I need more practice.

I would also like to retrospectively apologise to my own parents for what I put them through in years gone past. Watching Littler G tumble head first down a hill and land on her nose was a toughie, though thankfully she seems less traumatised by the experience than I was. Heaven knows how mum and dad coped with my cracked head, broken arms, etc etc...
