North Esk Reservoir
In an attempt to escape coronation-mania, I hot-footed it over to the Western-edge of the Pentlands this morning - walked the "The Mount & Patie's Hill circuit", starting from the village of Carlops ... I didn't see another human-being on the whole route: absolute, blissful solitude ;-)
Main photo shows my lunch-stop at North Esk Reservoir (which was looking at its very best); 1st extra shows the view from my earlier descent down to the reservoir, via the top of "The Mount"; 2nd extra is looking back over to the reservoir, just as I started my ascent up towards "Patie's Hill" ... all before returning down to Carlops.
A very pleasant excursion :-)
