Coronation Day
It's been a thoroughly wet day, so I've spent a lot of time on my laptop, while Neil has been watching the coronation. I saw rather more of it than I intended to and I did like some of the a capella singing.
I was sorry to see that the peaceful protesters were arrested. It worries me a lot that peaceful protest against any part of the status quo is gradually being made more and more difficult.
We popped out to the shops to buy salad for tomorrow. It's for the street party which I'm not mad about but I would like to stay friends with the neighbours. Just as we came back from the shops we talked to a neighbour who was rather vociferous about being against the nurses' strike. I doubt if I'll change his views so I just said that I don't see it the same way. I try to avoid talking politics to the neighbours.
I do hope the rain eases up tomorrow. I can't help thinking I'd have been better off getting on my bike today despite the rain!
