Coronation Day

I popped down the village during the Coronation and was pleased to see about half the shops and cafes closed (good that the staff got the day off) and half open (good for those  who didn't want to watch the Coronation). 
The Co-op was completely out of chicken so either they hadn't had a delivery or everyone is making Coronation chicken today. We're having home made burgers and local asparagus and I bought my first punett of strawberries for the year as a nod to summer. That's the only nod as the picture will tell you, it's rained all day. I do like a drippy tulip though. 
I bet King Charles and Queen Camilla will sleep well tonight, lots of concentration required to walk with a heavy crown on your head.
