The Coronation Blackbird....

...and Roger the Blackbird was right up for it, all he had to do was turn up at at a local street party, having had a good wash and preen, and he was sure he would win the competion.

It was set for each county in the UK, with the winner winning their family a months supply of suet, and a framed photograph of them looking their best.

Roger did win, and his wife soon let the entire neighbourhood know about it ;-) Roger didn't mind one bit though, even if he had been nicknamed the 'Coronation Bird' by his mates ;-)
