Reaching Skywards
A section of Mourão's skyline, from Isabel's garden.
She had invited us to the presentation of a book of poetry, Além o Alentejo, by Dulce Guerreiro, with drawings by Margarida de Araújo. Impressed with both of them, and Isabel is always so welcoming. Quite an international crowd again - German, Spanish, French and some Portuguese.
We got there towards the end because we'd been clearing out the caravan and so on, getting ready for our visitors.
Gratefuls:
- a hammock for Mike to sleep in, less pressure on his ribcage, and Ibuprofen, so less pain and less groaning
- the grandeur of the crowning; we watched some highlights; the British have gotta be the best at this sort of thing, even if it does feel a bit strange; now if this king had risked his life to save us all... that would feel different
- laughing over this
