Grey Heron

I spotted a heron on the dovecote this morning. It also spotted me and flew over. It turned out to be the youngest female. There was nothing else so I gave her a good feed. I then made my way round the loch to see if there was any others around but there was nothing so I made my way back to see if the one that was over wanted any extra. She was still in the same place so I gave her another bit. Then I spotted another one landing behind me and the slightly older female (pictured) landed on the viewing platform. I had just started feeding them when the adult male landed and prety much took over. The crow got a bit as well much to the displeasure of the male who flashed his crest at it. The extra is the youngest female.
