Apple blossom

I knew that the building works would wreck my garden and I had only two priorities for its future. The first was that the apple trees I grafted two years ago would survive, and here are four of them, growing taller and blossoming. The second was that my transplanted peonies, sensitive creatures, would live. For quite a long time I thought they hadn't but now they are forcing their way back up. The rest of the garden I will recreate, probably starting in the autumn. There is a mammoth amount of work to do.
