Quarry

This is a tiny window of the huge quarry alongside Rosewick Road, right before the Rosewick Shopping Center. This is just one of the very many surface mines here in Charles County where sand and gravel are a big deal, as are the ubiquitous dump trucks. 
The Allen, Texas mass shooting is too hard to process. We visited the Allen High School stadium on our recent trip to Texas. It is the largest high school stadium in the US. We drove past that mall. My sister and her family live nearby.
