Finish As You Mean To Go On
My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,
I went into the office today. A manager told me he was coming in too so we could discuss work.
But he didn't come in. And we didn't discuss work.
I can't say I'm shocked.
Fortunately, Jefe was in town and so I flounced out of the office in a huff and went for breakfast at the Rydge's hotel instead. They do a nice buffet in there so me and Jefe talked about Kāinga Ora work over bacon and eggs.
It was almost like the old days.
I farted about back at work for a few hours then Briar told me she was available for a walk at noon. So we walked along the harbour and talked about things. It was actually a beautiful Autumn day here, still quite warm. Briar brought her lunch wrap with her and we sat in the shade and looked at the water and it was lovely.
But Briar didn't eat her wrap. She just held it. It was like we took her lunch for a walk.
My afternoon was taken up with meetings which were dull and (even more) pointless now. So the highlight of my day was meeting with people I used to have meetings with. And shortly will again.
In many ways, it feels like I have left Kiwiwank already.

p.s. These are the flowers Shenée made us all wear this weekend.
