...on holiday from Australia. His wife was somewhere in town on a literay tour and she was worried how he was going to amuse himself for a couple of hours in Edinburgh with only his cameras for company. I think he had a lot of fun solving that particular dilema! Although he wasn't that keen on the crowds on the Royal Mile, and wandered off to (somehow) end up all the way down in Leith/Newhaven. It did mean he was in time to get some lovely shots of the oft-Blip-ed lighthouse there, against amongst the setting sun.

We were there to recover from another long afternoon's rehearsals for my wife, by having our tea cooked by someone else.
