The first Poppy bud to burst open

Although everything was rather wet I completed the dead heading of my Camellia which not flower again till next year.
I spotted the tiniest patch of peach petal in the middle of my new growth of poppy leaves. I had to hold the leaves apart to take the photo ..... hope it manages to burst into full bloom despite being smothered.

Surprise, surprise I got a message from BT to say that the technician couldn't make keep the appointment today. Rescheduled for Thursday am and if it's cancelled again there will be some very angry words from me.  To avoid having to blip on my phone I will post my photos before I leave on my 70 mile trip.
