Fast and small, only 26mm-45mm long, I just loved the turquoise eyes positively beaming like headlamps at me from the edge of the waterway.

I took a walk this morning again by the water as Baby /toddler B was in daycare leaving a little more free time here.  The canal bank was full of the usual suspects: there were two great egrets, dragons, an anhinga, muscovy ducks and best of all tiny little baby muscovy ducklings. Seeing them in the water with their mum I just sat watching and surprisingly she brought them all up the bank to sit at my feet. I inwardly bemoaned that I'd nothing to give them ....
