Rue de Furstenberg
Judith Cladel, the author I am working on, lived in a corner of this square, at no. 6, from 1911 until she died in 1958. In a letter she writes about how much she enjoys the four paulownia trees in the corners of the square and says they were first planted after the war. I've been wanting to catch the trees in bloom... I'm afraid the colour of the purple flowers doesn't show up all that well here but I don't know if I'll get another chance to see them before the blooms finish. We were in the area to meet up with a colleague who is in Paris with her partner for the week - very fun to see them here.
