The secretary back blip

We are almost finished with Hubby's folks secretary. It is turning out really nice. It has been a big project. While it looks much better I'm not convinced I like chalk paint.  I'm at the waxing stage but it does not seem like a durable finish. I have to say I miss the paint from yesteryear.
